Smart Dresser Android App

Smart Dresser is an app designed for young girls with autism. It is meant to be a helpful guide in creating outfits from items in the users’ closet. The user takes photos of the items in their closet and add them to their Smart Dresser. It uses image processing to suggest tops and bottoms that complement each other in terms of color, contrast, and pattern. A weather widget keeps the user informed so they can choose an outfit appropriate for the weather. Smart Dresser keeps track of history so that wearing an outfit too often can be avoided. Favorite items are also tracked, so the more the user uses Smart Dresser, the smarter it gets! The app is being developed as part of my Android App Development course and is part of a long-term research project headed by Dr. Erik Linstead at Chapman University.
